Souvenirs bought in Burkina Faso

When I visited the markeplace, I found a variety of interesting souvenirs, including: wooden statuettes
bronze masks, jewellery, fabrics, blankets, leather, goods, and craftworks such as chess sets and ashtrays. I set aside my financial worries and bought one of each.

Scenery in Quagadougou

The scenery in Quagadougou is very pleasing. Walking through the streets of Quagadougou, I can see dirt roads and palm trees around the area. In a marketplace, a child is selling beautiful paintings as well as traditional clothing on wooden hangers.

Sports in Burkina Faso

This evening, I went to a local soccer match in Quagadougou. The home team won the match. The home team won by trois points.
Soccer is one of Burkina Faso's most popular sports. In 1998, Burkina Faso placed 4th in the Africa Nation's Cup tournament. Burkina Faso's team is nicknamed "The Stallions".

Tourist Attractions

Today I woke up really early due to jet lag. I didn't have much to do, so I decided to find some tourist attractions.

The main tourist attractions in Burkina Faso are:
-an interesting Ethnography Museum containing a substantial collection of Mossi artifacts
-Manega Museum, a museum containing masks and musical instruments
-a wildlife viewing exibhit
-large marketplace

Dining

I am eating at Le Verdoyant in Quagadougou,
They have: European, French, and Italian cuisine. They specialize in
Pizza, Pasta, and crêpes, a pancake-like dish.

National specialties:
• Rice with sauce.
• Beef and aubergine with sauce.
• Local vegetables and strawberries are available in season.
• Brochettes (meat cooked on a skewer).
• Chicken dishes.

National drinks:
• Beer is the drink of choice and is fairly cheap.
